Não me interpretem mal.
Sometimes I miss living by myself.
Not having that worry about what to cook for dinner and what to prepare for the next day lunch box. Not having to think if father and daughter would be pleased enough with the menu and not having to listen, well it wasn't exactly this that I had in mind".
I just wanted to get into the kitchen and cook (or not) whatever I feel like with no pressures...
Not to mention, I would kill to have my house always clean again, with no exception...
Don't get me wrong, having a family is great, I just love mine and I couldn't be happier, but sometimes I miss the old me!
I really like my gynecologist (as much as a person can like a gynecologist) but it's a little bit difficult to get an appointment with her when I can go to Portugal. So I asked my mother to see if she could find a decent gynecologist in the clinic near my parents house and to get me an appointment for those days I was there for the holidays. After a few days, my mother tells me that she could get an appointment but it was for a male doctor, if I would mind. I thought for a while and then said no. Whatever. Women usually say that male gynecologists are, in all fairness, more gentle, so okay, let's give it a go.
After the appointment, I go to my parents house where my mother asks me if I liked the doctor. "Yes", I say with the biggest smile ever. "He's gay! Everything he saw and touched was for sure only for medical purposes!"
E a razão disto acontecer é tão simples.
It's a known fact that men never find anything at all. They look, they search, they seek but even when it's right in front of their noses, they can't find what they're looking for. And the reason why this happens is so simple. We only realized this recently but made total sense. Look and tell if it isn't so.
a criança nasce, cresce e vem a primeira reprenda...
Maria Amelia,
Leopoldina Aparecida,
Maria Alice,
Sofia Isabel,
Isaurinda Maria;
Well, a woman founds out that she is pregnant and there are gazillions of things to plan before the due date and one of those things is: choose the name. We start to tell names after names and eliminating the ones that remind us of certain people we just want to forget, names we googled the meaning and we found out that after all, we don't want to see that negative thing reflected on our offspring. Finally, you both have agreed! We are happy, our little thing is named. A name loaded with meaning and we're sparkling with joy. Due date arrives that cute cheeky monkey grows and the get mad for the first time. And what do we realise? We realised that we didn't give a middle name and how will that creature know that we're upset? Oh my God, what now? If you're like me who insisted that the child shouldn't have a middle name you'll end up calling some random names every time you'll have to raise your voice to make your point. And there goes the beautiful name that so much work gave to choose to call: Maria Amelia, Leopoldina Aparecida, Maria Alice, Sofia Isabel, Isaurinda Maria; Among others. If you're a first-time parent, choose wisely you'll be fine.
Do you already watch the most recent Gillette ad?
For me, one of the best things made in recent times. But it seems that not everybody thinks the same.
The ad shows many set of circumstances like bullying and sexual harassment and the importance of showing a good exemple for the youngest generations. Those times when men couldn't cry should be gone by now. However, there were people who didn't see the ad as a good exemple and think that there's a whole feminist conspiracy behind (#metoomovement) with the purpose of dominating all men. Because in the mind of these people, the man can only be strong by being violent, condescending e aggressive (physical and psychological) towards women (and men).
Gosh, gentlemen.... how can I explain this without being too rude?
You only think this because we're finally questioning the patriarcal society. And to many, many people this is a big concerning. Why? Because now they need to think about other alternatives besides violence (once again, physical and psychological) to make up for those ancient minds and tiny little dicks.
