Alforreca translúcida azulada / Blueish-translucid jellyfish

É verdade que nunca fui muito morena. A minha pele sempre teve aquela tonalidade de lula esbranquiçada-opaca. Tenho fotografias na praia, no início do verão, com os pés enfiados na areia em que estes mal se notam, completamente camuflados. Apenas umas unhas perdidas, pintadas de preto.
Mas agora isto é um exagero. Desde que vim para a Irlanda, minha pele tom de lula esbranquiçada-opaca passou a alforreca translúcida azulada. Já para não falar dos pelos dos braços, outrora tão louros que mal se notavam e agora tão escuros que mais parecem a Floresta Negra.


The truth is: I never had that tanned skin. It always had that squid opaque-white shade. I have photos at the beach, in the beginning of summer, with my feet in the sand where they're hardly noticeable, totally camouflaged. Just a few lost nails, painted in black.
But now, this is too much. Since I came to Ireland, my then squid opaque-white skin is now more like of a blueish-translucid jellyfish shade. And don't get me started with my arms hair, once so light you couldn't even notice them, now so dark almost seems the Black Forest.
